Privacy Policy for AI Test Generator

Effective Date: October 7, 2026

AI Test Generator ("we", "us", or "our") is an adult-operated tool for people aged 18 or older to create practice tests and run them for anonymous candidates (Candidate 1 to 5). People under 18 may not access or operate the app. This policy describes data processed by the app's current features.

1. Information stored on your device

Anonymous candidate labels (Candidate 1 to 5), saved lesson text, generated tests, and test results (subject, score, time taken and answers) are stored in this browser's local storage. The app does not ask for or store names or grades, and this data is not uploaded as profile data or synced across devices. Anyone with access to this browser profile may be able to access its saved data.

2. Textbook photos and AI processing

When you add textbook photos, the browser sends them over HTTPS to our application server, which forwards them to Google Cloud Vertex AI for text extraction (OCR). Our application server does not intentionally save the image files. Google Cloud's terms say Customer Data is not used to train or fine-tune AI/ML models without prior permission or instruction. Google's Vertex AI documentation says prompts, responses, and derived data may be cached in memory for up to 24 hours by default for abuse monitoring; whether caching is disabled for our project has not been verified. Processing region and retention are subject to the configured Google Cloud service and its terms. Do not include any person's name or other unnecessary personal information in photos or lesson text, and only upload textbook material you are authorized to use.

3. Account and test-generation data

The app uses Firebase authentication. Basic use can be anonymous; purchasing or restoring a Google Play plan requires linking a Google account. Firebase processes the account identifier and the Google sign-in information needed to authenticate that account. Our server stores the account identifier and test-credit information in Firebase Firestore. For purchase verification and recovery, it also stores Google Play purchase tokens and entitlement state; purchase tokens are sensitive and are not payment-card details. Google Play processes checkout and payment information under Google's terms. When you request a test, saved lesson text is sent over HTTPS to our server and then to Google Cloud Vertex AI to generate questions. Our application server does not intentionally save lesson text after processing. Google processes the text under the Google Cloud terms described above.

4. Age restriction and learner information

The app is for adults aged 18 or older. An adult must operate the app and review generated material; people under 18 must not access or operate the app. The age gate checks the date of birth in your browser; the date of birth is not sent to our servers. A local acceptance flag is saved. This self-attestation is not strong age verification. Avoid entering any person's name or other unnecessary identifying information in profiles, photos, or lesson text. Submitted photos and lesson text are sent to our application server and Google Cloud Vertex AI as described above.

5. Account deletion and local data

You can delete the Firebase account, its server-side credit record and associated purchase-verification records, and clear this browser's local app data, from Settings or at our account deletion page. Deleting an account does not cancel a Google Play subscription. Cancel it separately in Google Play to prevent future renewals; any purchase recovery requires linking the Google account again. The app server does not intentionally retain submitted photos or lesson text after processing. Google Cloud Vertex AI may temporarily cache prompts, responses, and derived data in memory for up to 24 hours for abuse monitoring; an account deletion request cannot clear that service-managed cache. Local data on another device must be cleared from that device.
